Courtney Mazza, Curator

"My artwork is a manifestation of my subconscious desires and my psychological analysis of myself and the universe. It incorporates elements of Abstraction, Impressionism, Surrealism, Modernism, and Outsider Art. I employ a wide range of media, materials, and symbolism to explore dichotomies in myself and my environment. My work is an overt expression of my ideas about life, emotion, nature, modern society, relationships, and the impact of death and hardship on the human psyche."

Courtney Mazza is a published illustrator, curator, muralist, and artist of many media. She received double honors majors from Rutgers College in Psychology and Economics, a Masters of Science in Cognitive Psychology at Sussex University in the UK, and later studied art at Montgomery College. She couples her education, background, and artistic talents for self exploration, and to conduct a psychological analysis of her environment, community, and culture.
